Stevens Point Firefighters

Peer Support Training

The Stevens Point Fire Department, Portage County CISM Team, Portage County Chiefs, and MABAS 110 Division are offering two presentations this fall to help individuals working in protective services, healthcare, or human services gain further training/knowledge on handling the stressors and building resilience in your ?eld of work. You provide a vital service to the communities in which you work. You respond time and again to help those who ?nd themselves in the midst of a traumatic event. Your job can be incredibly stressful, and it is important that you take care of yourself so that you can best serve those around you. The department will be hosting two classes consisting of concepts and practice in peer support and fostering resilience in challenging times on Friday, September 20th and Saturday, September 21. The training if free of charge and a lunch will be provided. Registration is required to reserve your spot. For more information please contact Travis Koch at
